Well, it is snowing here in south central Pennsylvania. The South Middleton School District in Boiling Springs, PA, the school district where I am a middle school PE teacher, cancelled classes today. We will have to make the day up, but it was kind of nice to have a day off in the middle of the week. 

As of now they did not call off for tomorrow, but I can not see that we would be having school tomorrow. Too much snow. The school my daughter goes to does not have to worry about having a snow day tomorrow because they are off anyway. They do not have to go back to school until Tuesday.

What did I do on my snow day? I practiced for The Passion Play On Guitar Concert Series I have coming up. I am working out the kinks in the program to make it as professional as possible. I worked on the live performance aspect of the program. I would like the program to be polished and to be able to make a connection with the audience. I might do some more practicing later today.

I also worked on trying to find bookings for the program. So far I have two more possibilities to present the program. If they both come through, it would bring my total of concerts for this particular program up to 6 churches.

And here is a dream for this program. It would be fun to take this program on a national tour, or at least a regional tour. My passion for The Passion Play On Guitar Concert Series was rekindled last Easter season.

I presented the program to a group of senior citizens at a senior home where they live at their weekly Gospel music night. The concert went very well. I thought this would be a good program to promote to various churches. So this year I decided to try and find other places to play.

In the past I have done mini Passion Plays in concerts, but this year I am dedicating a whole program for it.

Who knows? Maybe this will be the launching pad into a full time music career! It seems Easter music and Christmas music are becoming the most popular music of my repertoire.

Well, those are my thoughts for February 10, 2010, the first snow day of the year!
